MCYFL
McDowell County Youth Football League
McDowell Parks and Recreation merged with the McDowell County Youth Football League in 2021. The goal of MCYFL is to allow all children in McDowell County with the opportunity to safely play and fall in love with the game of football. MCYFL currently offers the following programs:
- Flag Football ages 4-12
- Mighty Mites (3rd-4th grade) ages 8-9.
- Midgets (5th-6th grade) ages 10-12* 12 year old must be in 6th grade
- Cheerleading ages 4-12
Age as of Aug. 31 of current year is the child's league age.
Participant must have an active physical and proof of age. Proof of grade is required for participants aged 12.
